“After years of battling cancer, carrying poor self-image, and struggling with an eating disorder, I had a lot of emotional weight to confront. There was a voice in my head constantly telling me I wasn’t good enough, that my body wasn’t built for this, and that the cancer would just come back anyway. But I couldn’t let the idea go—I needed to prove to myself that I could do it. At first, I felt guilty for wanting this. I felt selfish, and if the scale didn’t move, I would beat myself up. But Shanna helped me reframe everything. She taught me that this journey wasn’t about numbers on a scale—it was about reclaiming my body, my strength, and my self-worth. When my first attempt didn’t go as planned and my body stopped responding, I was devastated. But instead of giving up, we shifted gears.
